Hey everyone,
Just shipped Lekh AI Pro 8.0 – easily the biggest update since launch.
This release expands Lekh AI Pro from a local AI workspace into a complete AI platform for macOS, combining local models, cloud models, agent workflows, knowledge bases, image generation, and web browsing in a single native app.
🤖 AI Browser + Agent Mode
A brand-new AI-powered web browser is now built directly into Lekh AI Pro.
- Browse the web without leaving the app
- AI Agent Mode can navigate websites and complete tasks for you
- Web Chat for asking questions about pages and online content
🌐 New: Web Chat Beta
Access your chats from any browser on your Mac.
- Same chats as the native app
- Same models
- Same MCP tools
- Real-time streaming responses
- Lightweight local web interface
- Runs locally on your machine
No Electron. No cloud sync required. Just open the local URL and continue where you left off.
🧠 Knowledge Base Chats
You can now chat with your documents and knowledge bases directly.
- Ask questions across your stored information
- Use your knowledge alongside local or cloud models
- Faster retrieval and improved context handling

☁️ Cloud AI Integrations
You can now use your own API keys for:

Supported models include:
- FLUX
- Stable Diffusion
- SDXL

- OpenAI image models
No need to jump between tabs anymore.
✂️ Image Tools
New built-in image editing utilities:
- Background Remover
- Object Remover
Both are available directly inside the app.
🛠 Tool Calling
Models can now use tools while chatting, unlocking more capable assistant workflows.
This is the first step toward much deeper automation features coming in future releases.

Bonne update.

Will give it a shot. Quick question for you. I have a workaround with litellm currently but can this use jsons for Gemini and vertex AI instead of an api key. Might not be saying or asking it right?
Living_Commercial_10 · 2026-05-30 · 1 points
Not at the moment. Gemini support currently uses an API key.
If you’re talking about the Google Cloud service account JSON file that Vertex AI uses, Lekh AI Pro doesn’t support that yet, so LiteLLM is probably still the best workaround for now.
If more people ask for Vertex support, I’ll definitely look at adding it.

Compre esta app para IOS. Tienes un código para la versión pro?
Living_Commercial_10 · 2026-05-30 · 1 points
¡Gracias por comprar la app! 😊

That is planned. As demand increases, I will start working on it.
